FIXED: Windows Update Appears to Cause DisplayLink 8.2M2 Installation Issues
Targus and many of its customers had observed an issue with Windows PC with Windows Update for DisplayLink v.8.2M2 that may cause the update not to install properly, even if using the. EXE, .MSI, or .INF files from Targus.com or DisplayLink. If you or your users were effected by the issue causing monitors to disconnect from Windows, completely remove the DisplayLink software and reinstall version 8.2M2. Alternatively, users may install DisplayLink 8.2M3 (not validated with Targus dock utilities but should work) or the previous version 8.1M0 (validated with Targus dock utilities) as a work around or to fix an incomplete 8.2M2 installation.
