Update Lenovo BIOS for Type-C Charging Issue

Lenovo T14 Gen 1 and Gen 2 users are strongly encouraged to upgrade their BIOS to the latest version. A critical update is available which addresses charging issues related to USB-C power device configurations. If you are unsure if this critical update applies to your machine, please run Lenovo Automatic Update, or visit support.lenovo.com and enter your machine’s serial number.

Targus Universal docking customers have reported charging-related issues on these machines when connected to DOCK310-50. The issue would manifest on machines run in clamshell mode and appear when the battery reached 100% charge. The result would be periodic USB disconnects every few seconds with loss of external display, USB, Ethernet, and charging.

Targus always recommends keeping OS, firmware (including BIOS) and software current for best performance and functionality. Please contact your Targus representative or DocKtor for further support or information.
