Our sustainability journey is guided by the belief that the products people depend on every day should be designed for performance, longevity, and responsible impact. By prioritizing durability, smart engineering, and responsible material choices, we work to reduce waste, extend product life, and support productivity wherever work happens.
That approach connects directly to our mission: helping people get the most out of their technology by keeping it protected, easy to use, and efficient. Sustainability is embedded in that mission – shaping how we design products people can rely on every day.
EcoSmart®: Designed for Everyday Impact
The Targus EcoSmart collection spans laptop bags, docking stations, and tech accessories designed to support how people work today – providing durability, functionality, and thoughtful material choices without compromising performance or reliability.
What started with laptop bags made from recycled plastic bottles has evolved into multiple product categories. To date, Targus EcoSmart products have repurposed more than 53 million plastic bottles, transforming recovered waste into durable everyday tech essentials designed for long term use. As the line continues to expand, it reflects our belief that sustainability should be seamlessly built into the products people rely on most.
Reducing Our Environmental Footprint
Sustainability at Targus goes beyond materials. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a critical part of our strategy, supported by ongoing measurement and transparency across our operations and supply chain.
We continue to track Scope 1, Scope 2, and measured Scope 3 emissions, using that data to inform decisions, improve efficiency, and support long term reductions. These efforts empower us to work towards achieving our goals with greater transparency and accountability.
Recognition That Reinforces Accountability
Global certifications and transparent accountability play an important role in how we measure progress. Targus currently holds an EcoVadis Bronze Rating, placing us among the top 35% of companies globally for sustainability performance. We have also earned Walmart Project Gigaton™ Giga Guru status for the third consecutive year, recognizing our efforts to reduce emissions across the supply chain.
These benchmarks help keep our sustainability efforts transparent, measurable, and aligned with global expectations.
Beyond the Product
We also continue to reduce impact beyond the product itself. Today, 95% of our global packaging is fully recyclable, with about half made from recycled or compostable materials, helping reduce waste while maintaining the protection customers expect.
