Using a Targus Docking Station with HP Thin Pro and Remote Desktop Connections AN
It is possible to use Targus Docking Stations with many portable Thin Clients, even for Remote Desktop Connections.
If the host device has a USB-C Alternate Mode receptacle, Targus recommends using one of our Alternate Mode docking stations, models DOCK4XX. The DOCK430 supports using two external monitors connected with DisplayPort and/or HDMI, and the DOCK419 supports one external display monitor connected via HDMI. However, the Targus USB-C Thunderbolt Docking Stations DOCK22X are not recommended as we have not seen widespread support of Thunderbolt on Thin Clients.
It is also possible to use the Targus Universal Docking Stations, models DOCK1XX, with many Thin Clients to utilize Remote Desktop Connections. These can connect to a host with USB-C or STD-A (the port formerly known as USB 3.0). For instance, the Targus DOCK190 ports, including downstream DisplayPort and HDMI ports, are supported with HP Thin Pro based MT41 platforms.
