Get key findings from our 2023 State of the Workplace Study
The average person spends 90,000 hours at work over a lifetime, according to Happiness at Work (Wiley-Blackwell) by Jessica Pryce-Jones. Therefore, it’s important to understand how to get the most engagement and satisfaction inside and outside of the office.
Recently, Targus® surveyed 6,000 professionals and 1,000 senior business decision makers across North America and Europe to find out what matters most when it comes to wellbeing and satisfaction at work, and the results are now in.
During our February Tech Talk Live webinar, Dave Brown, Director of Marketing for Targus Europe, and Vice President, Global Marketing & eCommerce Andrew Corkill, shared the key findings from its 2023 Annual Workplace Study, exploring themes of wellbeing at work, employee engagement, satisfaction, productivity, as well as the importance of sustainability.
In case you missed it, you can now watch the 30-minute webinar on-demand.
Here are some of the key highlights from the session.
- Not surprising, 88% of global decision makers agree that flexible working positively impacts their staff retention and recruitment, an 11-point increase globally compared to 2021.
- When asked about their top three wellbeing priorities, according to respondents, they are flexible working (47%), rewards and recognition (43%), and cost of living support (40%).
- Ninety percent of respondents state better tech and accessories have a positive impact on job satisfaction and 91% state they enhance employee productivity. Yet, only 31% of organizations offer recommendations to staff for how to best set up a remote workspace and 63% of flexible workers state they do not receive a budget to purchase tech accessories to work remotely.
- Businesses and consumers continue to prioritize sustainability with more than 53% of global respondents stating that sustainable attributes influence their purchasing considerations for tech accessories.
