Many users who work with OS-X often feel unsupported when raising platform issues in PC-based enterprises. The standard recommendation is for an expensive hardware upgrade to a current OS-X-based platform as a "fix" to the issue. This is common with external monitors, especially non-branded Apple and USB monitors. When using MacBooks with OS-X and Targus Universal Docking Stations, some helpful application notes are available. These known issues have been raised with Apple, but further improvements will be driven by customer feedback/bug reports directly with Apple. If your issue(s) regarding OS-X support for USB graphics are not addressed, please contact Apple support.
