Anaheim, California – June 28, 2023 – PR Daily’s Social Media & Digital Awards Gala took place at the Yale Club in New York City where Targus’ Social Media Department took home Honorable Mention for the Collaborative Social Media Communications Category!
The 2023 Social Media and Digital Awards celebrated an impressive group of finalists who, during a year when social media’s legitimacy and business utility were called into question, demonstrated the power of a sound digital and social strategy. Targus elevated its organic, digital, global social media communications, by activating global lifestyle videography, photoshoots, graphic design, Simply Sustainable and Big Steps Small Environmental Footprints eco-conscious sustainability campaigns, monthly Tech Talk Live Webinars, blogs and digital public relations. Targus’ global marketing departments drove digital content in a year-round collaborative creative workflow. Social media marketers, videographers, graphic designers, photographers and writers collaborated on weekly creative ideations. A digitally accessible global sustainability report deployed via social media, website/blog, digital content marketing and public relations focused on Targus’ sustainability roadmap, meeting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to create real change. With a total audience of more than 198.2M, the campaigns raised awareness of Targus' sustainability commitments; to date, Targus has recycled 17 million plastic bottles.
In 2022 Under its global sustainability initiatives, Targus launched its Big Steps, Small Environmental Footprints, marketing and social media campaign, utilizing global branding, visual design, and strategic copy, focused on driving awareness, preference, and sales for Targus’ Cypress™ EcoSmart® Collection. This collection of sustainable laptop bags and backpacks is designed to minimize environmental impact. Big Steps, Small Environmental Footprints campaign was selected as an honoree of the 2022 American Inhouse Design Awards™ by Graphic Design USA’s GDUSA, the oldest and largest program for inhouse creative excellence. To amplify the social media presence of its employees and their social media communications, Targus’ Social Media team led various employee social media trainings, tips, call-to-actions, Q&A’s resulting in being The USA’s Most Active Consumer Electronics Professionals on Social Media as recognized by DSMN8.
